New demographic of customers
For 25 Years the Discovery Centre operated a downtown venue that was mainly as a kids’ museum. After seven years of development, a brand-new science centre opened that needed a family-friendly exhibit to attract a broader demographic.
After a successful track record as a kids’ focused venue; rebranding as a new modern Science museum attracting a broader demographic which included the vast student community in Halifax.
Bringing in the Science of Rock N’ Roll was ideal in attracting the demographic the Discovery Centre was looking for. A family-friendly exhibition with enough of an edge to attract university students to the venue.
The new building was a huge success and attracted record visitation with the Science of Rock N’ Roll as the premiere travelling exhibition. The exhibit was such a success that it was extended for an extra month.
