The Longest Song in the Universe

04 Dec 2014

Epic prog-rock productions have nothing on Daniel Starr-Tambor.  Neither do the Flaming Lips with their twenty-four hour song.  And John Cage’s “As Slow As Possible?”  Pish.

Starr-Tambor has created an intriguing piece of music:  a single song that lasts 532.25 septillion years. Written out, that’s 532,250,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years.

He’s done this by assigning each planet in the solar system a note.  From there, it gets complicated.
